The 2012 Art Uprising in West Village benefitting the Emergency Artist Support League (EASL) is a two-day FREE arts festival featuring local artists, bands, food, and other entertainment. This juried festival will feature over fifty local artists, in all types of medium and genres. Live music will be played all day on Saturday and Sunday in the North and South alleys. Sunday is a family friendly day where everyone is invited to partake in activities and enjoy special performances.

To kick off the event, an art walk and auction will take place Friday night. Participating West Village retailers will be paired with a local artist to display a work for auction. Guests are invited to savor sips and light bites as they wander from store-to-store, experiencing trunk shows and new lines being unveiled as they bid on artwork. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Emergency Artist Support League (EASL) (


Friday, 9/21:
This art walk event will mark the launch of the festival. Participating retailers will be paired with a local artist who will display a creation that will be part of a silent auction that night. Guests are invited to enjoy light bites and drinks as they wander from store-to-store, bidding on each work of art. Saturday, 9/22:
This will be the first day of the art festival. An estimated amount of 50 different local artists will have their art displayed in tents set up throughout the village. There will be a stage set up in both North and South Alley for live music. Delicious food and beverages will be available in both allies. Free admission.

Sunday, 9/23:
This will be a day to bring the family – parents, children, dogs… everyone is invited! Enjoy local art, food, drinks, live music, exciting performances, and activities for children. Free admission.
